NotebookLM is now called Gemini Notebook. If you are new to it or unsure where to begin, this hands-on workshop will walk you through the basics. You will learn how to create a notebook, add your own materials, ask questions about your sources, and create useful resources such as summaries, quizzes, flashcards, infographics, slide decks, and Audio or Video Overviews. We will also look at citations and discuss why it is still important to check AI-generated information.

By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

• Understand the basic differences between Gemini, Gemini Notebook, and the former NotebookLM.
• Create a notebook and add PDFs, websites, YouTube videos, and Google files.
• Ask questions about their uploaded materials and review the citations.
• Create at least one resource they can use with their students.
