Join adult educators and administrators from across the Bay Area for the OTAN Regional Bay Area Canvas Summit, a free, one-day, hands-on professional development event focused on meaningful, practical use of Canvas in adult education.

This regional summit is designed to bring together colleagues from across the Bay Area to learn, collaborate, and share strategies for supporting instruction, student engagement, and program management using Canvas. Whether you are new to Canvas and building foundational course elements, an experienced instructor exploring advanced tools such as New Quizzes, Studio, and Mastery Paths, or an administrator managing courses, users, and integrations, there are sessions tailored to meet your needs.

Participants will engage in interactive sessions, guided practice, and collaborative discussions, with built-in time to reflect, plan, and apply ideas directly to their own programs. This summit emphasizes learning by doing and strengthening regional connections through shared practice.

Bring a charged device and your curiosity, and join your Bay Area colleagues for a day of learning, connection, and growth.

Canvas Account Requirement
To fully participate in the hands-on sessions, attendees are strongly encouraged to have access to Canvas through their school or agency, as well as an individual Canvas user account. Many summit activities will involve building, editing, and exploring features within Canvas in real time.

If you or your agency do not yet have Canvas access, or if you would like assistance getting set up in advance of the summit, please contact OTAN prior to the event. OTAN staff are available to support agencies and individuals with Canvas access and onboarding so you can make the most of the day.
