Online Formative Assessment Tools

Name Online Formative Assessment Tools
Date Friday, October 20, 2023
Time 01:00 PM - 03:00 PM
Description

Formative assessments help students learn what they know and what they need to know. There are many different formative assessment tools available online to assist adult educators and their students to conduct different assessments in and out of the classroom.

During this session, participants will learn how to assess students’ learning before, during, and at the end of class, as well as sharing assessments with their students. Tips and tricks for getting students to create their own formative assessments will also be presented.

This workshop or presentation will explore one or more different tools or as requested. The online tools may include (but are not limited to): Kahoot!, Quizlet, Quizizz, PollEverywhere, and exit tickets. Attendees will be able to practice using these tools during the session and understand how the teacher can use these tools in their own classroom.

A mobile device component may also be included where accessing tools using smart devices will be shown and modeled (dependent upon requestor).
