This three-hour virtual training is designed to help adult education teachers and staff build confidence using Canvas for daily instruction and communication. Whether you're new to Canvas or looking for a refresher, this session will guide you through the essential tools needed to create and manage an effective course.
Participants will learn how to:
  • Set up and customize a Canvas course
  • Create and organize course materials
  • Communicate with students
  • Design learning modules that support engagement and persistence
The training includes hands-on practice and dedicated time for questions, so you can immediately apply what you learn.

Please note: This session was originally created for the Los Angeles Regional Adult Education Consortium. However, this online session is open to all adult educators who would like to learn more about the webinar content.  While this training is virtual via Zoom, participants from LARAEC also have the option to attend in person at Burbank Adult School to join the session from a computer lab with on-site tech support. Staff will be available to assist with Zoom access and navigating Canvas during the training.  If you plan to attend in person at Burbank, please also RSVP here.
