Series Overview

This two-part training series is designed to empower teachers to utilize Canvas as an effective communication tool with their students. Each session focuses on specific aspects of Canvas's communication features, providing exploration and practice tailored to the classroom environment.

Part 1: Essential Canvas Communication Tools for Teachers (90 minutes)

The first session introduces teachers to the fundamental communication tools within Canvas. Participants will learn to:

· Create and manage announcements for course-specific information and updates
· Utilize the Canvas inbox for efficient, personalized messaging with individual students or groups
· Set up and moderate discussion boards to facilitate class discussions and peer interaction

Through guided demonstrations and interactive exercises, teachers will gain confidence in using these essential features to enhance day-to-day communication with their students.
