Accessibility introduces basic concepts, approaches, strategies, and resources with regard to the creation, design and delivery of Canvas courses that are accessible to all students, including those with disabilities. This session will discuss the following topics as they relate to Canvas.

• Accessibility Resources
• Screen readers and Canvas
• RCE Tools
• Tables - scoping & captions
• Headers
• Color Contrast
• Alt Text
• Linking vs. Native content
• Accessibility Checker

Prerequisites

This session is best focused on instructors with foundational Canvas proficiency:

• Have a solid foundation in Canvas Navigation course tools
• Created assignments, assignment groups, and quizzes
• Provided feedback using SpeedGrader
