California (CA) Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), Title II: Adult Education and Family Literacy Act (AEFLA) Network Meetings are held regularly throughout the state for agencies included in the California WIOA, Title II: AEFLA 225/231 and Integrated EL Civics IELCE 231/243 grants. These meetings are an excellent opportunity for school administrators, program coordinators, and lead teachers involved in ELL/Integrated EL Civics, ABE and ASE programs to meet and discuss hot topics, and for those in the field to share their knowledge and experience to help others new to adult education. Meetings include topics determined by network members and are led by a CASAS California Program Specialist.

Topics may include information from the California Department of Education (CDE) and CASAS regarding:

• Policy issues
• Due dates and information for deliverables
• Training opportunities
• Upcoming events

Note: Meetings are offered either face-to-face, online, or as a hybrid meeting with both online and face-to-face occurring simultaneously. The location and delivery of this meeting is indicated above. For online-delivery, you will receive detailed log-on information included in an e-mail confirmation of registration.

Audience: These meetings are appropriate for school administrators, program coordinators, and lead teachers involved in ESL/Integrated EL Civics (IELCE), ABE and ASE programs.

Time Commitment: Allow approximately one to two hours to participate in this meeting.
