CASAS is pleased to announce release of the Written Prompt Certification module for the NEDP. The importance of functional writing skills in society and on the job is well recognized, as is the need for effective ways to teach and assess these skills. Standardized test administration requires scoring according to specific criteria. This online self-paced training prepares participants to score writing samples according to the CASAS Written Prompt rubric and to complete certification. This training prepares you to accurately score the CASAS Written Prompt for a two-year certification period ending June 30, 2020.

Audience: This training is limited to NEDP professionals only.

Prerequisite: You must be a NEDP professional to complete this training.

Cost: This training is provided to NEDP professionals at no cost.

Time Commitment: Allow approximately four to six hours to complete this training.

Technical Requirements: Use a computer with sound for listening to videos.
