Become familiar with and practice strategies for helping adults with learning disabilities succeed in your classes! Learn to select appropriate accommodations to meet diverse learning needs. This course presents an overview of various instructional approaches and helps you design one instructional activity using an LD-appropriate approach.
This CoP, hosted by Los Angeles City College, takes place entirely online and incorporates both collaborative work (online in Moodle) and two live sessions (1.5-hour online workshops). The CoP runs for 6 consecutive weeks, from 3/20/2023 to 4/30/2023. Weekly participation is required, though participants may, during a given week, log in whenever they wish. The first synchronous meeting will take place on Thursday, March 30 from 1:30 pm-3:00 pm via Zoom. The second synchronous meeting will take place April 20 from 1:30pm-3:00pm via Zoom.
It is recommended that participants take Designing Programs for Adults with Learning Disabilities I self-directed course concurrently, preferably before the first synchronous meeting.
