Name Session 2 - Communities of Practice: Collaborative Curriculum Alignment (Online and serving the East Region)
Start 2/10/2022 13:00:00
End 2/10/2022 16:00:00
Description This entirely online CoP incorporates both collaborative work (online in Moodle) and two live sessions (3-hour online workshop). Curriculum alignment is fundamental to ensuring that adult learners successfully transition within adult education programs and from adult education to post-secondary environments. By strengthening collaboration within adult education programs and with post-secondary partners, efforts to align curriculum and support adult learners as they transition from level to level within a program (e.g., ESL Intermediate to ESL Advanced), from program to program (e.g., ESL to ABE to ASE or CTE), or from adult education to post-secondary environments can be greatly facilitated. This module will examine the key components of the curriculum alignment process with an emphasis on the tools used and steps taken to map courses and to strengthen trust and collaboration within programs and/or among partners.
