Description | ESL Teachers use questions to check students’ understanding, but questions that go beyond simple comprehension help students apply newly learned content in ways that will lead to deeper learning. In this second online workshop of the series, participants will learn about the reasons for using text-dependent questions (TDQs), identify TDQs, and discuss classroom activities that encourage learners to ask questions. This is the second of two interactive online workshops. Part 1 is scheduled for Fri., May 14. It is strongly recommended that participants have completed Part 1 before taking Part 2. Separate registration is required for each workshop. Goals | Registration is required and is on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no registration fee to participate; CALPRO professional development opportunities are available to all California Adult Education Program (CAEP) agencies, employees, and consortia members.
