Low Hanging Fruit – how to improve student performance of those already in the system Part I

Name Low Hanging Fruit – how to improve student performance of those already in the system Part I
Date 02/20/2019 12:00 PM
Description Join Neil Kelly and Jay Wright as they explore two simple questions: How many adult education program students that enroll – actually make it into an instructional program? Of those students in an instructional program, how many are showing any progress as defined by AEBG/AEP metrics? Of students that attempt pre/post-testing, how many stay in program long enough to generate a pre/post-test pair? Part I will include both Jay and Neil, and will define these basic questions, provide some simple metrics within AEP reports to determine local performance proficiency on these basic questions, and offer some tips/suggestions for how agencies might address these data issues—with suggestions depending on each program’s local data results. Register for February 27, 2019 Part II where Jay will review several concrete examples at both the agency and consortium level, using features such as drill down, right-click options, and Excel to “dive deeper” into local data results from the ground level.
