Name Session 1 - Communities of Practice: College and Career Readiness Standards 2: English Language Arts (ELA) Implementation and Application (San Leandro & online)
Start 1/7/2019 4:30 PM
End 1/7/2019 8:00 PM
Description This blended learning CoP incorporates both online collaborative work in addition to face-to-face sessions. The course helps participants build knowledge of the College and Career Readiness Standards (CCRS) for English Language Arts (ELA) and prepares them to implement the standards in the classroom. The module is designed for both Adult Basic Education/Adult Secondary Education (ABE/ASE) and English as a Second Language (ESL) teachers. It is encouraged, but not required, that teachers participate in the training in teams. If attending in teams, teachers should represent the diversity of the instructional offerings (ABE, ASE, ESL, etc.) in the program. The module meets the needs of all learner levels. Because this module builds on the work done in CALPRO’s College and Career Readiness Standards module, completion of that module is a requirement for participation in this one. Participants may fulfill this prerequisite by completing CALPRO’s Introduction to CCRS self-directed course. CLICK HERE TO APPLY
